Got this by email a little earlier.

Whts the bet that a certain person, no names mentioned, has just filled their weekend calender.

On refection,I remember a business could open at 1 pm on Anzac day.Theres a heap of coffee shops promoting they are open so pop in for a coffee after the dawn service, good or bad?The NRL are playing as they always do on Anzac day.Theres a race day on at GC turf club also.

I still think the dates crap for that event.

Last news news there was story on real estate agents who advertised open houses and auctions which would attract large fines.
One spokesperson for the agents said because they book ad space three weeks in advance there was an overlook on the date.

Interesting to read everyone's thoughts...

Bec and I are getting married this Saturday afternoon and we made enquiries before we locked in the date.

A couple of those enquiries where with the RSL and some local returned veterans and they both thought that it the perfect way to celebrate the freedom that the soldiers fought for in all wars gone before us.

The 1pm curfew is still relevant and as long as events don't take away from the dawn celebrations and are after 1pm (shops open etc), the afternoon is about time with friends, rememberance and respect and with two up legal at our reception and beer / wine flowing at the Club our reception is being held at, we are really excited about having our day on the same day as the 100th Anzac Day with which we both had family part of historically.

....that's the beauty about opinions though huh ?
