Hey guys,
Just a question that I am not sure of and would like your thoughts.
Thinking about doing the Wishlist Row for Cancer and have seen that there are
two classes, one the 12'6 - goes without saying....
The second is unlimited, which I am presuming encompasses all other board sizes, race boards or not (which I don't have).
Obvious? I think so but are just checking as I am planning to do the event on a 10' board.
Cheers
Generally the 12'6 class encompasses all board up to and including 12'6", so in the absence of a 'non-raceboard' class (which doesn't happen very often) any surf/all around sup would fit in the 12'6 class.
Unlimited usually refers to anything longer than 12'6" (with or without a rudder), so you probably wouldn't want to be paddling your 10' against 14'-17' boards.
The Row for Cancer isn't organised by Sup'ers so when I did the last one, the ladies taking the race registrations didn't really know what the classes meant, but most of the paddlers sorted it out between themselves. It was a great little event and it's always good to be able to support a local charity!
Thanks for that Ali Cat, not going in to be competitive, I am representing my company and just going in for a laugh really, however, straight after if there is surf, thats a different story ;)
Thanks for clearing that up.
