Hey Supyamba

i am in a similar boat however Surfing comes above the other disciplines

prob best to keep an eye on the clubs facey page or website or even contact the president/representative and get a club comp schedule.

had a stab at the 8 k social race at Immerse over the weekend Was interesting and when finances allow I will look to invest in something that can get me out there. Till then I will borrow what I can to give it a go.

Guess it takes time to meet others and feel part of it all when your a newbie. Like anything in life.

enjoy

Hi we have training sessions all week in the mornings and afternoons if you live around Currumbin. All morning sessions are free and start at 5:30 on the water Mon-Thursday and Saturday, afternoon sessions are $10 and are run Tuesday and Thursday starting a 4:30pm. Also have lady's only class on Saturdays at 9am
All levels welcome and a great bunch of guys and girls to train with. Just meet at the Gold coast SUP shop in Currumbin at 8 Thrower drive Currumbin or if you want any more info give me a call anytime 0418722928.

There are about 4 groups who train on currumbin and 1 or 2 up around budds beach Southport area so comes down to where you live or how far you want to drive.

I flew up from Melbourne to Gold Coast to do some sessions with Pete Dorries. The man is awesome. I have a swim/triathlon coaching background and his knowledge and tech/skills etc top class. Well worth the time. Highly recommend ! I'll be back
