Think i already know the answer to this ... but its worth asking before I cut a hole in the thing.
Is the only way to get the female part of the valve out of an inflatable to cut a hole in the skin of the sup ? ... I didnt want to risk damaging the valve seat by trying to force the female end of the valve out through the hole .

Normally the valve is in two parts that are screwed together to pinch the skin. You just have to unscrew them.
Google for "removing inflatable SUP valve", you will see plenty of howtos. E.g:
Thanks for the reply , I need to remove the "carriage" as the guy in the video called it , or the female side of the valve.
Someone has cross threaded it so it needs to be replaced :(
