Hi all. Just looking for anyone's suggestions on kids pfd's. My miss 2 1/2 wants to come with me all the time. We have an old one from a friend but want to get a new one to make sure it meets all the latest safety standards. Preferably one that has leg holes so it doesnt go up around her head or slip out of it encase she does end up in the drink. Tia
have a look in a good quality Ships Chandler or Marine outlet.
I have bought a Bourke Brand for my grandsons to wear when with me and it works well. Important to make sure it has neck support so that they float on their backs.
Dont go cheap go for quality and performance after all they are precious little things.

HutchWilco make a great little one for babies. its all weight based not age i think 15kg. My kids had them well past 2yrs. It's got the strap between the legs to hold it down (that's all you need) plus the strap behind the collar to stick a boat hook in. Best of all it floats face up.
Next size up, note that the under- strap is not essential, we've found the side-grip ones (shown left and centre) grip just as good (better?) and more comfortable (and more availability). We know because we chuck the kids in from time to time so its fun and there's no surprises at show time.

For kids of your size all will come with a big collar to keep little ones head up and at the very least a strap between the legs so they cant slip out through the bottom. Buy what you believe is right and not necesarily the cheapest...
