here are some pics of a wooden sup I built. It is 12'6 X 28 and weighs 15kgs. Hollow wood construction using different types of wood.

I'd love to see a shot taken from the side to see what kind of rocker you built into it.
Also, if I had built something that gorgeous, I'd probably hang it as art and never get it wet.
Great job!

The board was moving a bit. There is quite a bit of rocker in the nose, a little less in the tail. I can't rember the numbers exactly.

I built it myself. Designed the board on a free kayak programe. Printed out the forms and stuck them on plywood. Cut them out and built it like a kayak or hollow board. I am working on a kit that will be easy to build. Not the same shape.

I am not sure about the cost. I dont think I said in the begining I am an Aussie living in France. So costs would be different. The wood I mainly used is Western red cedar. Bead and cove strips 6mm thick. This was for the deck and sides. The bottom is Paulownia and Bamboo veneered balsa panels I made myself. I know Paulownia is available in Oz. There are plenty of people making surfboards with it. As is bamboo veneer. There are plenty of wooden surfboard blogs that will be more helpful.
I used kayakfoundry to design the board.
You will need alot of clamps!! and time but the end result is worth it.
