nothing flash guys ,just a on shore surf ,on the 8,7 placid .went at midday ..so it wasn't so cold ..

glad you like it Bob ..i guess it makes you feel as though your are surfing the wave with me with the go pro ..
yes i have a home made hat cam with a session go pro ,you don't really notice you have it on ..
where the helmet and top mount feels weird on ya head ..but it gives a more birds eye ..
hat cam is more a less eye height ..

Hey Tardy, can you show us a pic of your hat cam?
here ya go ..i used a quicksilver hat because it had a stiff peak ..then I got the chick to sew the straps on which i got off a older surf hat ,then used two bolts to go through ,then ground them off flush ,then cut and glued a piece of fin cover to the bottom of the brim which made it even stiffer and now it floats ,if it gets ripped off ya nog ,I made it so you feed the go pro from the top ,so if the go pro rubber comes loose ,your head will stop it from coming out of the bracket ..
it is ok with the hero ,just have to remember to look to one side and down when diving through the waves ,,
easy to make ..do it
Nice, sweet tune too. Your own private playground is so cool. Though for me, while beautiful, it does have a bit of a creep vibe with all the hard bits and shadows.

Hummmm.... where have I seen THAT before?
Hint.... I just bolt it to the brim using a very short Tripod mount with a 1/4" threaded camera hole.
Dakine Trucker hat has the chinstrap built in and the brim is thick and stiff.
I usually get more than a year out of every hat before the brim gets smashed so many times that camera starts to wiggle a bit when surfing.
They didn't seem to make it anymore, but it is finally back online!!! Yea!

Nice one Rick ...yes the brim when it gets wet get's floppy ..so i glued (2x pac ) the extra bit underneath ..plus now she floats and its way stiff ..its SURF science ..LOL.
I Put two bolts in mine ..but she's hanging in after 2 years now ..took it to Maldives .Thanks ..for the ideas .. let pimp these hats .
also a rounded brim is better so the water runs off
