Wilks clean up set. We look like black ants getting washed down the reef. I've seen guys trying to SUP the place they just get worked.

Been there and done that !!!
Had a trip over there in 2010 -headed over from Musket cove after checking'magic seaweed' which said the size was 2-3 ft and building ....This was before it was all opened up .
Started in shoulder high nice waves and then out of nowhere comes a clean up set in the 6-8 feet range and mowed us all down .Pretty much increased in size from there and was unsurfable by us mortals for a couple of days.
It is a scary wave when it gets big as it seems to 'wrap in' on you down the line
You had to make sure you had an exit point or it was carnage.

Nice shots
This is a sequence I got at airport lefts in April.

Two friends in the line up, nice waves but pretty crowded with 15 or more out. Being on a sup I didn't want to tangle with the pack so I watched for a while and took a few shots

1st set wave

2nd wave

3rd wave

Ended up paddling down near the runway and getting some freight trains to myself

Always a pleasure to see your mates paying their dues
