Ripples is a nice place for lunch or were you asking about something SUP related?
Surf, ocean, downwinders or flat water they are all available close by.

Pittwater close by Whaley has to be one of the best places to paddle flat water, Palmie for surf. The Boat House at Palm Beach is another good location for lunch. It's a great paddle to the Basin on the western foreshore of Pittwater also.

Whale beach is OK, Palmie is a last choice for me. Whale beach gives a couple of options but is seems to always be choppy.

I like Nth Avalon as there can be nice lefts and rights and a great rip to get back out with. When Nth Av isn't breaking (high tide, low surf) try Newport Peak. If there is any SE swell over say 3 feet, have a look at the Pool at Newport. These waves are great. They roll around the reef and give long runs with a couple of sections.

Be nice to the Longboarders at Nth Av and say g'day to the guys on the SUPs. Especially the old, fat and unco ones. I will say g'day back!
