This is a forum, you can pretty well say what you like.
We've talke footy, Motor bike riding and many other sorts of sports here including sexy girls. I have surfed exclusively on SUPs for around 3 years now. Prior to that longboards 10 yrs, shortboards 15 yrs , boogie boards, body surfing and I have even had a go at windsurfing and Goatboats (must have had some odd mushrooms that day!!
). I consider myself a waterman because I have tried just about all manner of watercraft. Kelly Slater is a once in a lifetime genius, why anyone would not consider his 11th world title not worth a mention in this forum is utterly unbelievable. Let it go if you enjoy the Ocean - as this truly is something special !!
it's an absolute disgrace that owen wright is the only one taking up the fight to kelly. really how can they let a guy that old win it again. it's a sad day for pro surfing
Sorry I didn't mean to freak you out Matt!! The Long boarding bit came at the start of my surfing life. 1st came the 11'6" Barry Bennet, Followed By the 8'10' Klemm Bell Plastic Fantastic then the 7'6" George Rice. OK I admit it was only eight years
, though my first short boards were a 7'2' Ripcurl By Donny Allcroft and a 6'9" Klemmy. I was only 170 cm and 60 kg . When I was 16 I got a 6'2" strapper/Pat Morgan fish and then never looked any longer. Any way these guys don't really long board they just have extensions on their short boards so they can catch waves before shortboarders and whine about traditional Hawaiian surfing (SUP)!!
