MP was a true Aussie surfing Legend . If you haven't seen the movie "Searching For Michael Peterson" You should watch it , it's a great movie and a real insight to the rise and fall of this surfing legend.

RIP MP you will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

I recently read an interview Tim Baker did with MP. In the interview MP pulled out a pic that he said was his favourite of all time, from the description i'd say it was that one.

Surfing today owes so much to guys like MP. Such a shame that mental illness wasn't better understood back then, the outcome of that drive to Noosa to go windsurfing could have turned out so differently.

If you haven't seen it yet, Searching for Michael Peterson is a must see. Really gives an understanding of both his talent and turmoil.
