Hi all,

This Sunday the 11th September is to be the third round of the SUPSA Distance Paddling of Club Championships, which is a Battle of the Paddle style race. Some of you may be aware that there is also a Battle of the Paddle training and race event on Saturday the 10th September.

The SUPSA committee has decided to change our initial date of Sunday, to now run in conjunction with the event on Saturday 10th.

Venue : Currumbin Creek, western side of the Alley car park (Where the swimming enclosure is)

Time : 12 noon for 12'6” and big boards
Kids race straight after
Followed by Surfing style SUP board race
*Travis Grant will be there to have a chat to all interested in SUP paddling and racing.

This idea is to enhance Battle of the Paddle style racing and attract more people to the sport, thus flat water racing.

The Surfing style boards let the beginner experience the sport and then hopefully progress to race boards. Same with the kids! (any age)

This is a chance to mix, swap ideas, catch tips, techniques, drill's, try different boards and progress the sport of SUP.

2 laps for the kids and
3 for the Surfing Long Boards

remember we'll even let you use a longer board in the first race if you have nothing else.

With a midday start I have no excuse :)
Plus I heard there would be beer at the finish for once...

5km will be good to get back into the swing of things... I havent touched a paddle the last 3 weeks

Your doing better then me Minkee. July the 17th was my last paddle, fitness is gone, so I'm sure you would leave me for Sounds like a good afternoon especially to gain the technical knowledge out of the quality of paddlers that will be there.
