Wondering if anyone has found or had a colour match made for the 'tequila sunrise' yellow of the 2017 Maliko ?
Have a couple of touch ups to complete and would appreciate any tips on how I could get a close match ?
Are those marks.. or paint chips.. and have you tried the magic eraser on it because I find them amazing and they seems to even make scratches disappear.
DJ speaks the truth. The magic eraser is indeed magical as it seems to 'erase' a multitude of sins! Paddle scuffs, stains random marks and even minor scratches seem to dissapear....

Ask Naish, or one of their representatives here on seabreeze, all brands know the exact colors they use. In the case of Naish their original yellow was ral 1018 / pantone 123, but your Maliko may be different (more orange?)
If they do not want to share the info, buying a color guide and using the closest paint color works quite nicely. I actually had to do this for the new Gong neon red, as it was a custom color and they mixed different kind of paints to get it, and needed time to be able to re-sell the exact same paint as spray cans.

Take care to get the relevant one for your board: glossy, semi matte, matte
Or going to an automobile shop that have a color reading device to get the exact paint to use.

But first you have to determine if they are stains that can be firsty removed with acetone. Then I would have tried to remove stains with a cutting compound polish for a car or boat.
Then I would look at painting last. But first clean up with acetone then maybe a fine sand paper & then wipe over with acetone again before spraying with paint.
Matching colours is hard & remember only to compare fully dried match up paint.
I just used a tough dishwashersponse with friendly soap and all the stains were gone, no acetone used.

Just to clarify, the picture I used was just a colour example and isn't the scratches in question.
Magic erasor rocks for marks but mine is a distinct scratching unfortunately. Just thought someone may have colour matched previously to save time fanning through swatches.
