Just read this on the Stand Up Zone.
"KISSA on the other hand was primed and ready. Visiting from Narrabeen, near Sydney, he led the field for a time but fell back to the relentless gliding by Livio for a second place finish overall... ahead of local powerhouse Scott Trudon. Kissa was brimming with positive grins before, during and after the race. Really fantastic to have these Aussies come over and do so well. Hopefully he'll give us a blow by blow of the battle up front. Good work Kissa".
Anyone who knows the fella knows how good he is on the downwind. Great way to make up for last years rudder f*** up. Just got to get Livio in the next one. Legend!!
Nice one Kissa, great to see you up the front where you belong after the disappointment of the broken rudder last year! Good luck for the rest of the series.
And he's not from Currumbin Creek! ![]()
PS. If he knocks off Livio, that will be another one to add to the Top 12 of 2012.
Thanks guys. Insane runs over here as you would expect. Good battle between the 3 of us if you could call it a battle - they are such cruisy guys...in the end, Livio was just too smooth - and fit/strong. 3 more weeks to go...![]()
Great result Kissa
, heading over in a couple of weeks to check it all out, should be an eye opener for me first time there![]()
,
cheers.
As you know from ski paddling the good thing about been over there for a while is you settle in and race better as the weeks go by.
GO GET 'EM
Anyone have links to full results? Apparently our young 16yo junior Dylan Frick took 2nd in the Elite Mens 14ft class - He won our last summer downwind series here in Cape Town and its great to see our guys mixing it up as well!
Going by the photo on your site Dave's changed a bit since hitting Maui. Looks like a different man these days.
