Well, with only 7 sleeps to go, it is like waiting for Xmas!

The SUP OFF has a teensy-weensy extra bit to it this year in the way of a BOP OFF on Sunday morning!

So choose your weapons well!

The blurb:
THE ultimate SUP relay event will be held during the Corona Classic at Merimbula, this year.

Now in its 3rd year, the Balmoral Paddle Surf SUP Off has been expanded to two events over two days!

Pit your teams skills over distance in the Beach to Bar SUP Off on Saturday morning and put your surf racing skills on the line in the final with the Surf SUP Off on Sunday morning.

Each relay teams consist of a max of 4 competitors. Each team must choose one board to use in both events!

So choose your weapon carefully!

There are two divisions-
12'6 (max length) class
14' (max length) class

Trophies and prizes go to the best performance over both events.
There are trophies for the winning team of each division and prizes for 2nd and 3rd placed teams.

There are 3 Quickblade paddles to be awarded for the best performances by the girls, the kids and best overall!
Overall 'Performance' will be measured in true 'Corona Classic Spirit', including - individual effort, outstanding achievement and BEST DRESSED!

The Balmoral Paddle Surf SUP Off is brought to you by Balmoral Paddle Surf, Quickblade paddles and Paddle Surf Hawaii.

In typical Mambo Corona Classic style there are plenty of ways to win a prize so get creative kids!

If you have any outrageous shots of you or your team from last 2 years - POST THEM HERE!

See you at the CLASSIC!

I'm guessing the winning team might be the same, just riding for a different brand this year

And don't forget Ang, one of those wins was on the big behemoth Naish 'Resort' Board with the perspex window in the front! Not exactly a speed machine!
It still has pride of place in the shed with all the winner's autographs on it!

My prediction - you guys have an unbeatable combination but I am sure we will all have fun trying to keep up with you!

See ya soon!

I dont know guys! There might be some dark horses out there!

One sure way of winning a prize at the Classic! Win it on a Window board!

The inaugural event back in 2009.
BTW, team Naish gave their QB paddle prize away to a deserved young paddler!
That's the Merimbula sprit in action right there!

Good on ya AA for finding that pic. I hunted high n low but have had few computer changes since then n couldn't find it.
I think the hollow section where the window is takes on about 10L of water. A nice handicap I reckon!

Yes sir ree.. SUP Vic won the first Bar to Bar race fair and square.. .. and if I remember rightly they couldn't have the Mexican's win so they re ran it the next day till the QLD guys won.. I reckon if we had of won the second race there would have been a third.. .. ( not whinning ) .. .. It's all good fun.. Cos we are all winners at the Mambo (Corona) ..

Is Laurie ( SeaBeeze ) going to be there again this year?
