Next they might even fade and do 360 right into the deep!!!
That's what DRUGS will do to you!!!!! Circles down the guzzler on the one-way highway to hell.
No way to surf when you could be enjoying the natural high??? Much safer to simply go for the tube?
360 loop as Shane Horan attempt on one of his Mc Coy was just a natural exert, can be done with a paddle one day coming.
I did stop too late , I agree![]()
Sick shot. A lot of front foot there to engage the rail.
360 is a lame manoeuvre it does not fit into the flow of the wave. No WSL guys use it for scores apart from airs, then it works as it is not interfering with flow.

I still reckon Cheyenne Horan is one of the most underrated surfers EVER!
Photoshop out the paddle, the Naish logo's, and make it look like a thruster and that photo looks an awful lot like Tom Curren cranking a bottom turn back in the day.

Cheyenne surfed in the Legends heat during the pro at Trestles recently and he's still shredding, but to me the one guy that still surfs probably as good as he ever did was Shaun Tomson. You can find that video on Youtube. Too bad they didn't have a "senior" Legends heat that included the older living legends like Nat Young, Skip Frye, Mickey Munoz, and Billy Hamilton.

Thanks. Yes, I have watched that clip. Amaging how well all those guys are still surfing. We have also had a few similar Ex World Champ expression session at Newcastle's Surfest. Great inspiration to keep on surfing!
Things that most inspire me about Shaun Thompson are the way he defied the crap he coped after his first decent comp win and his late 1970's tuberiding in Hawaii.
Cheyenne is the epitome of the Aussie underdog. So close to winning world titles, but always runner-up. He was such a progressive surfer who was not afraid to experiment. His bottom turns are not unlike the one of Kai.
Was thinking about his attempt to do a carving 360 at sunset beach , was beginning of 90'.
Does he do SUP by now![]()
I have to work with him every day and I know he is the last person needing his ego stroked but Jarrod Holdsworth sure does know how lay rail on a bottom turn. 2 different style boards but with a similar approach. Just need to work on your drop ins and you'll be fine mate.
I'm not claiming to be the best bottom turning SUP surfer but there is nothing like getting down low and setting yourself up for a nice hack off the top. This photo was taken a while ago. Just gotta get someone to take some more pics to see if I've improved?![]()
