Like I have always said all my SIC boards are custom hand built on Maui and are 100% styrofoam yes my boards are expensive $$$ but if you wana play you have to pay. Hollow boards are lighter but are slower Styrofoam boards are heavy'er but have a better glide. (it's all about the glide the longer the glide the more fun you are having surfing the ocean swells)

Like I have a custom 17fter f16 for sale it's the state of the art SIC board I laugh when people offer me a stupid price for it. People always want something for nothing.

logic tells me there would be some closed cell foam under your feet and that would provide enough enough bouyancy to prevent sinking.(If the board didnt have any skin bouyancy that is, eg HDfoam ,air(nomex core),Timber ,Bamboo or even Cork)

not all moisture will leave, some will remain. but it must be dry enough for the epoxy resin repair patch to stick.

I have heard about "waterproof" EPS but I am yet to see it , If it does exist i wonder what its density (weight) is ? Regular old Urethane foam does not absorb water bit is too heavy really for big SUP boards IMO
