The Surfing Victoria state titles are the pathway to selection for the Vicco team at Surfing Australia national titles later in the year.
Does anyone know what days they running each individual event? I know its over 2 days on the website, so will it be the same has last year?
Okay, well the plan from Surfing Australia is that 12'6" is designated as the Elite category as that is the category that qualifies you for the ISA World Titles. However, some of the top racers from NSW and QLD may well choose to race 14', particularly if they have no interest in being selected for the World Titles team.
I just turned 72 last weekend. I feel left out competing in the over 50's event, I don't stand a chance against those young bludgers. Any chance of speaking to surf Vic and creating an over 70's division?
I've never won a trophy or ribbon in my life, and since giving up the booze and the smokes on my 60th birthday and working out every day, I think I could give this a real shot. It would be great to have some proof, and some gopro video, for my grand kids that their pop didn't come third or fourth in sporting events during his entire life.
Gee Adolf it just seemed like last year you were asking for ideas on how to spend your 50 th and bingo now your 72 years old.. ... Mate you, in my mind have won something.. The 4ft shorebreak wipeout of the year at Kilcunda recently, you had winner written all over you, see.be proud of that ![]()
LOL if I was still in Melbourne Woody I would tip ice in your shorts.
I meant run the race closer to the Nationals instead of Feb.![]()
