Panamuna Outrigger Canoe Club (Sunshine Coast) are running a river race for Stand Up Paddlers. Its actually a flatwater course so will go upsteam
Sorry, I understand that the organiser Brad has been away in NZ paddling, hope to get more details as soon as possible for all such as board classes, age groups etc.
High tide at the river mouth is 7:37am, going up the river is quite scenic actually but also narrow in parts too. Let's hope we get lots of entries as we need more races on the Sunny Coast and being flat water any paddler of any ability can safely join in.
5 km turn around is at the premier circuit weir nice and safe for turn and viewpoint , if start race @ 8am should get tide both ways !!
