Hi all

just picked up an old starboard Blend for cheap locally but it's been in sun for quite some time.
I believe this is the AST construction as it's like my old Pro.
any advice on how to clean it up? The grip like material on top is quite bad so might sand it off lightly? would 3M marine wax restorer work on the rails and bottom?
thanks!

Nobody...

Tons of turpentine with a towel (soaked) over the top them plastic sheet to stop evap. Wait half a day and it will fall off. Plastic scraper assists.

Wash well with tons hot soapy water.

Wet sand the bottom and rails with about 1200 or 1500 and it will come up beautiful

Regrip self explanatory with whatever EVA you like.. Looks like no dings so that will bring it up like new.

Good on you Mark. And good luck Phil. I'll be trying this on some seriously stubborn dried glue on the rails of a SUP board I recently purchased. Have just googled "4l turps". Already have a mask or two lying around, funnily enough. Let the games begin!
