Looks like fun, though a few too many lefthanders

You could keep those shorts on and scoot down to vic this week for a nice sub-Antarctic change of scenery....

Hey Gareth.
The vid looks awesome
At a guess I'd say that's the 8'0 x 26 Hokua and your about 75-ish kgs.
How'd I go??? Close on either count?

Gareth,

Is this the typical swell size during July? I am looking to plan a trip in the next year. I do not want to be there when it is bombing. The waves you rode looked great! How was the cost? Any/all info would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hey Guys,

Well that is a tough one re the dates, there is more chance of consistent swell from April / May through to September, however this comes with more people. The shoulder season Feb, March and October / November are a little quieter with crowds and a more mellow crew. If there is a swell, everyone spreads out and finds there own little spot. If the swell doesnt behave, then there a few waves magnets which everyone gravitates to. SUP Boarder mag did a story on the trip and answered some questions.

Read it here as it may answer some of your other questions.
