Nothing like getting a few friends together and hitting a sweet spot for a few hours, the images below are from a recent session down south with The Fez, Emosun and Robdog.

The only location you can shoot from means you need to mountain goat crawl 20-30m up a very steep bank so you can shoot over the headland and your 5-600m from the action and its back lit a photographers nightmare.

The march flies are EPIC they come in squadrons and they will eat you alive. As I clung to the box thorn and salt bush with one hand I was shooting images with the other. The march flies just crawled all over me, Areoguard your tropical strength formulation doesn't slow down these suckers at all. Thanks to Robdog for the Akubra with full flywire mesh all round and the long sleeve shirt

The walk into this location is long and arduous and a test on its own.

The paddle out is easy 500m

The call was 3-4ft (Southern Tape Measure

The crew: The Fez, Emosun, Robdog and Kristi.

The hospitality and vibe ALL TIME.

The waves and the wipeouts well you take a look.

Thanks Sharpie,

Its a challenging wave in an onshore /cross shore and moves around a bit, keeps everyone on their toes.

Robdog had the no care in the world 2 paddle take off going as usual and the Fez and Emo charge everything.

Kristi did a lot of learning on the inside at times but fun was had by all
