Hey guys,
These are the results form the elite race run on Saturday 26th May.

We at Surfing NSW had a great weekend any feedback you have from the event please attach it to this post.
Looking forward to seeing you all back here, next year!http://www.surfingaustralia.com/nsw/event-results.php?id=567
This is what I thought was good (in no particular order):
- professional judges
- electronic scoring
- entertaining commentary
- live scores broadcasted to the surfers in the water
- nice new rash vests
- great choice of location for each event based on the day's conditions
- flexibility with format of races depending on conditions
- supply of PFDs to racers
- prize money for the race winners
- prizes for the surfing winners
- allocated spectator areas out of the weather
- first aid and safety on hand
- presentations conducted in a timely manner
- quality photos and videos of the days events published on the net
This is what I though was not done well:
- nothing really
This is what would be great if possible:
- live surfing scores webcast on the net
- live footage/commentary webcast on the net
i would have to say that was the best SUP event i'v ever been to and been involved in, well done Luke and the team from surfing NSW!
the only thing i can think of for next year, would be to try ( if possible) to hold it in a warmer time of year.
besides the cold it was the BEST event so far, and for the cold i might need some fat to keep me warm next time!
Totally agree guys, best event yet despite the waves (which were prob the only ones on most of the east coast at the time). May is the go for waves though despite the cold.
The only comment I would make is to try and compress it into 3 days like the QLD titles which would make getting the time off work more doable for a lot of people.
I didn't make this years comp due to over seas but spoken to many people and heard great reviews ... Though also heard a few who couldn't take time off work or family commitment duty I would think if the comp was on a weekend only more people would get to it as almost everyone in this sport has a day job... Maybe if the surfing and racing was different weekends?
I was only up there for the DW race, and that was all time. The fact that you guys were flexible enough to provide the best possible option for the paddlers really set a solid bench mark for future events like this.
Well done, and I will be there next year, hopefully for more than 5 hours :)
