Social Downwinder for Fletcher and Beyond Blue

Hi Breezers,

There is young prone paddler Fletcher Davies, who is paddling the M2O on a 12 footer stock board, and if that is not impressive enough he is also using this platform the raise money for Beyond Blue.

I thought what better way to help Fletcher than to use ...we have a sydney downwind facebook page with 235 paddling frothers, and I am going to try to encourage as many paddlers on there to get behind this social event. I am hoping for a huge turn out. So I thought I would chuck it out to all the breeze crew too.

So on Saturday 12th July, get down to newport SLSC for a downwind cruise. Course will be advised closer to the day. It is a social paddle to raise money, and not a race. Recommended participation donation is $20, although it is up to everyone’s discretion, obviously 'give to your means'.

If you need a board, you can hire one from wind surf and snow, and they have generously said they will donate any hire fee to Fletcher's cause.

Approximate time of start will be 1pm, although more details to come.

There will be a BBQ at the surf club after, and the surf club has a bus we can use to shuttle at start and finish.
