It's getting cold and my wetty is only 2-3mm and a bit leaky so instead of buying another one for $500 I thought I would give these a try, Aussie company so hopefully it will be here when I come out of lock down and can give it a go!
Anyone already using these?

This can also go under a wetty for that very purpose

I've used them as an extra layer under a 7mm wetsuit for diving an found them to be good at adding extra warmth. When I've used them on their own for kayaking they are great for keeping warm especially in the wind as they cut out the chill. But the fleece on the inside does hold a bit of water if you take an unplanned swim and can get a bit heavy.

I was considering replacing my regular booties with the Sharkskin Titanium chillproof socks. I actually called them last week to inquire if they would be durable enough to use on my SUP. Unfortunately I was advised that the answer was no.

I use a Sharkskin vest. From decades of all sorts of sports wear, I am quite happy to say it is THE most functional and comfortable thing I have ever worn . You just about don't know it's on when the air is cool, and it doesn't get hot and uncomfortable as soon as it warm up a bit.
No rubbing or chafeing around the arms or neck when paddling. Get a fit that is firm but not tight. I would like to try a full length or a full sleeves one.

Well mine arrived and all is good although it did take me awhile to get the rear zip up. Thought I was going to rip it off and needed help from the wife but have figured out how to do it now so all good. It's a bit tight but Iam in the middle of the size chart for kg and I spoke direct to the manufacturer and we discussed how and why and I kept at it. The key is to get the flap at the back perfect before you zip up. On my regular wetty it's not as particular but this is different construction and material and being new will take a go at getting wet and use it to loosen it up.

Quality is very good I just need lock down to finish and I will be back on the board to try it out.

OH TARDY IT HOLD's THE OLD GUT IN pretty good!
