Looking to paddle tomorrow morning with a group.
Come along to the Paddleloop #2 and Deep Water Point.
The monthly paddle or race depending on what you want out of it. Using the Canning Bridge Rowing course in Mt Pleasant, participants will nominate the time they think it will take them to do the 4.2km loop. Race it, paddle it, cruise it, whatever you like - you just can't wear a timing device, stop or go backwards. The winner is the person closest to their nominated time. There will also be prizes for the most improved time from month to month. Additionally we will have a leader board for the fastest times as a comparison to the other 4.2km time trials done around Australia. Where - Deep Water Point at Canning Bridge When - Saturday 8th of June Time - 0730 Cost - Free! Board length - any size you like, just figure out what time you'll do You must submit your nominated time to Ian Lane - ianlane@iinet.net.au before 9pm Friday the 7th to enter the PaddleLoop. If you just want to record a fast time you can turn up on the day. Great opportunity to meet everyone and get involved in this fantastic sport on a beautiful part of our river. Good for the kids too! All Fun, All Free and All Welcome!

Perfect conditions for Canning Bridge Pod's Paddle Loop number 2 today. 19 eager participants paddled around the 4.2 km course in glassy flat water with a close finish for line honours between Joe Fry and Nicola Masci.

Fastest time Joe Fry 27:46.
Most Improved time Shane Dawson improved by 17 mins (I think a bit of sand bagging might have been the case here!)
Closest to estimated time was 1. Gordon Saalvage (23 seconds out) 2. Derek Jones (47 Seconds out) 3. Rick Maxwell (1 minute out).
Fastest Female Cristiana Chessa.
Well done to everyone see you next month for Paddle Loop 3.

Each paddler sets off at 10 second intervals, the order depends on what finishing time you nominate, it was great to see the majority of paddlers finish together. GET INVOLVED FOR THE NEXT PADDLELOOP!
