SUPSA SUP Surf Round 4 and Technical Surf Race
This coming Sunday 23 September, and the final hitout for the local Aussie Crew jetting off to California a few days later, will see the SUPSA SUP Surf round 4 and BOP Race. This is for SUPSA individual championship points and must be a SUPSA financial member to compete.
If you seem you are lacking events and competition, this is one not to miss!
Venue - Miami (Between Nobby's Outlook Appartments and Santa Monica Blvd)
Time - 7am for a 7:30am BOP start. (12'6" boards)
SUP Surfing up straight after!
BBQ, refreshments and character right-offs are supplied!

Sent a PM to Secret Agent but it appears as though he is currently on Her Majesties Secret Service so I will wack it out here in the hope someone can set me strait.
Just a couple of questions with regard Sundays comp. I will potentially be on the Goldy on Sunday for the start of a weeks worth of family holidays. Was tossing up wether to leave Vicco Saturday and overnight at Crescent or leave Friday arvo and hit Broadbeach Saturday arvo. Was wondering wether you would do a one off affiliate membership as I couldnt see myself being around for any other SUPSA comps. I am on the committee of BASS SUP down here in Vicco and we offer a day membership to people who can only compete in one off events, usualy ten bucks. Am also a fully paid up member of Surfing Vic, Surfing Aus.
Final question....do you run age divisions and if so which?

Hey Sparx,
With the surfing we generally run just open men's and open women's divisions, sometimes combined together if we only have 1 or 2 girls. We run a full repecharge format an a 'b' final to make sure everyone gets a couple of surfs.
It's the first time we're combining the surfing with a Tech surf race so encouraging those without race boards to have a go. So depending on numbers we may end up with a sup surfboard class as well.
I'll leave the $ up to the Peasemeister (and i'll get on his case to get back to you) but would be great to see you on Sunday.

I will be heading off Friday arvo so it looks very much like I will catch up with you all on Sunday. Havent been on a SUP over 8.2 in two years so I reckon I may be a bit undercooked for the BOP! Surf sounds good and it's got to be a hell of a lot warmer than here.

Excellent fun day. Surfing looked good. Nice little waves with the occasional sets coming thru consistently.

finally made it to one
spewin the surf wasn't triple overhead but......
the vibe on the water and on the beach was great
sorry i had to leave before everyone started to get sideways on the beers
but i had to go and spread the love of sup with a group of old friends and there kids down at currumbin
and a big thx to stevo and molly
for letting me parkup and froth all over their laps
while they worked hard!!!!!!! hiring out boards and playing practical jokes on each other just to pass the time......

Hey Doggy the dude with the camera was Pete from Sup World who take photos at alot of our events. So you may be front page on the next issue but it will cost you alot more than the $3 you tried to bribe the judges with.
