This Sunday, 11th November, will see the final round of SUP Surfing and BOP Racing for SUPSA's 2012 Club Championships! This is for SUPSA individual championship points and you must be a SUPSA financial member to compete.
With over half a dozen contenders still in the running for the blue-ribbon Mens SUP Surfing Championship, and plenty of contenders in the running for the BOP racing Championship too, this is your last chance to get points on the board for these divisions and also earn valuable points towards the Overall Club Championship (surfing, BOP and distance racing) which will wrap up with our final distance race next month.
Time: 7:30am for an 8:30am BOP start (12'6" boards) followed straight away by the SUP surfing!
BBQ, refreshments and character right-offs are supplied!
Venue: TO BE CONFIRMED - with the forecast strong southerly change on Saturday afternoon and into Sunday, it is likely that we will be heading to the southern end of the coast for a bit of protection, so keep tuned over the next couple of days until a venue is confirmed.
See you all there!
With the forecast strong southerly, tomorrow's comp will be held at Sea Street, Tugun
We're kicking off a bit earlier to try to get the best conditions for both surfing and the race.
The format will be:
6:30am Arrive and register for surfing
7:00am First surfing heat will start
8:30am Approximate start time for race (will follow completion all of round 1 surfing heats)
9:30am(ish) Following the race we will kick off round 2 of the surfing and run through to the end of the finals.
Free BBQ following the surfing finals.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Attention all
Late change of venue to Archer Street at North Kirra for more favorable conditions.
See you all there!
Tough conditions with the strong offshore/crossshore wind the morning, but still fun to get out there to get some waves.
Stoked to see more youngsters, especially the girls, Ke'ale (15), Molly(15) and Sarah(17) ripping it up in some challenging conditions! And also Tim havin a crack in the open men's.
Looking good for some upcoming talent over the next year!
