Burubi Beach - located at northern end of Stockton Beach. It blows off shore in NE. Nice cafe in the very small surf club and enjoy the uphill walk back to carpark.
Fingal Bay - crap if NE is up (heaps popular for kiters). Protection at southern end from southerly.
One Mile Beach - offers protection from NE and southerly. Cafe on beach and reminds me of Home & Away.

Flatwater paddle - there is plenty.

Note: Stockton is a breeding ground for Great Whites - but I didn't see any.

Cheers

Agree with all of the above by Scotty. Also head to Samurai if you have a four wheel drive, north of One Mile.

Is that the nudist/swingers beach ?

It's a fine line.

Yeh they're mostly up the northern end, so they tell me!!!
Getting quieter now, something to do with the weather.
Bit of a trek but less crowds.

Something about shrinkage. You can only do the octopus for so long

Yes, right where the best surf is! I wonder if the locals think I am a pervert because I park at the northern side of .the road into the beach camp?

Hey, there's a big sign on the way in saying "Nude Bathing Permitted", so it is kind of take it or leave it. Just don't expect naked glamours. It's 99%: naked old men with pot bellies who like to suspiciously disappear into the dunes.
.

(Now this should keep the crowds down? [}:)] )

If its too big at all the beaches mentioned and you have access to a boat, check out yacaaba, the inside of port on Hawks Nest side. can be super fun. also box beach is worth a check.

That spot is called boulders for the obvious reason. Good wave in a big swell.

I am half sure risking sharks at boulders is a better deal than getting pole driven at Box Beach and paying for your physios new BMW?

Yeah I'd rather risk it at boulders then trusting my car at Boxy.

I have had mine broken into fishing at Tommaree during holidays years back. Broke a window to take nothing; Totally sucked.

If you ask me, Box Beach is not a SUP wave anyway. You are much better to keep driving around to Fingal. It is a beautiul place. Maybe even consider looking north towards Boxy and using a bit of lateral thinking. You never know what you might find?

Hey, supper funny story. I was once swimming with a mate from Boxy to Fingal Island spearfishing. I spotted a couple of what I thought were dirty old nude men around the corner and decided to keep swimming along the spit instead of walking. Abruptly I decided I was not going to let a pack of old perverts ruin my day and got out the water. Bugger me (be really careful saying that up there in case it happens) they turned out to be nude keen chicks! While they initiated a coversation my "buddy" disappeared into the distance. I spent the rest of the day considering why I should not spear him. Talk about missing a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Want to here about my collision with a 14' tiger off Zenith?
