SUP THE GONG - Stand Up Paddle Weekend
Dates - Saturday 20th October & Sunday the 21st October
Location - Wollongong
Divisions - SUP surfing (Open Men SUP surfing - Womens SUP surfing - Open 10ft division)
***only 12 spots are available for Surfing divisions due to our format...we are opting with 6 surfers x 30 minute heats, straight to 6 surfer final.
- BOP Knockout - 5 rounds of BOP racing in a knockout format
- Flat Water Racing Knockout - 5 rounds of Flatwater racing around our course.
- 5km - 10km race.

When you say Wollongong are you talking greater Wollongong or City Wollongong?
BASED AROUND NTH WOLLONGONG, WE HAVE TO CHANGE THE DATE, AS THERE IS A OCEAN FESTIVAL WITH A LOT OF SUP RACES ON THE 27/28 IT MAY NOW BE THE 13/14TH. IT WILL BE UPDATED VERY SOON AS I'M TALKING WITH COUNCIL AGAIN TOMORROW.
the event has been cancelled for 2018 due to work falling through, pretty down at the moment so i dont want to hear any negative BS, like on facebook. Thanks for those who have supported the concept.
My lesson out of all of this is the sport of SUP is going to go no where on a grassroots level because of the ego's involved.
