Friday was the last day of Summer here in Portugal (at least with temperatures above 20? C) and nothing better than a 3 hours session with small but perfect conditions.
After 4 months of working non-stop (doing SUP tours, classes and running a business) it's great to be back in the water and to prepare for the big winter waves.
Board: Infinity SUP B-Line 7'11 x 27'' (85 liters) and Black Project SUP Surge Pro Paddle.
Hope you guys enjoy it

Nice video and good timing SupNorte... I am fairly certain that I will be spending the winter in South Portugal this year.
Super stoked on the area, I will have to hit you up for some inside info since I have never been there before. ![]()

Hi Scotchman
I do know this about Ericeira:
there is a great SUP specific surf retreat there, called Mauka Lodge, run by Tiago Silva.
Coaching, transportation, video analysis... and amazing pointbreaks.
You don't have to bring a SUP because he supplies SUNOVA boards and Carbon Paddles .... try a Creek ![]()

I'm going to stop by there and check it out when I arrive in Portugal, it looks amazing!
So stoked to head across the pond this winter! See you there SupNorte!

Ericeira is to Portugal like the North is to Hawaii: the best waves (slabs, barreling pointbreaks, peeling righ-handers and a couple of more mellow spots). For a pro it's he perfect place. Tiago runs Mauka lodge there and he can show people some other spots.
Peniche is a peninsula (and used to be an island) so you can surf there with any wind direction, but in the last years it's been getting overcrowded; there's surfcamps, schools and hostels everywhere and sometimes hundreds of people in the water.
But there are other regions: I live in Porto (North) and there's a city beach perfect for SUP and sheltered from the big oceans swells (it's next to an harbour). On the other side of the harbour there are a few consistent beachbreaks, but if you a bit south there's a lof of spots and a couple of world class waves. And it's easy to get there by plane (if you live in Europe you can fly there for a few dozen euros).
Further south, there's the Costa Vicentina (southerbn tip of Europe) with very consitent waves, smaller crowds. It' s in a National Park so there's no mass tourism and you surf in the middle of the Nature.
