Hey guys, Looking for some information around where I can do a few SUP surf competitions? I don't think I'll be world champ one day but would be nice to push myself with some purpose and meet some like minded people in the process.
I've seen the Scotts head thing in a few weeks, but other than that, its hard to find much really. Is there a central calendar somewhere? SurfingNSW has searching by name or date - nothing for discipline - even the club search function is ****e...
for reference I live in Wollongong.
Cheers in advance

There is also a facebook page:

This would be the closest club competition to Wollongong and a good place to start.
They would also have more information on competitions ie. when and where.
Local SUP surfer at Stanwell here. Surfing NSW have its annual SUP surf and flat water state tiles. This year at Port Stephens. Lots of age divs and excellently run. Check out their events page.
Club Mal-nutrition at Gerroa run a club pointscore comp last Sunday of the month. Mal heats and SUP heats. Surf one heat each month and scores added up at the end of year $50 joining fee. Very social with bbq brekky. Early start at 7am.

All year 'round? As in this Sunday?
I just moved to Wollongong from Newcastle and was president of the Sup club for a very brief time.
be cool to get a south coast sup surf club happening...
nothing over the top just a monthly paddle or something.
The Sydney SUP club is def worth joining.
SunkistCitizens - Yeah - sounds like a great idea.
If the opportunity comes up, I'll head down to that Gerroa thing on Sunday and put some feelers out. I'd be happy with just that with some integrated social stuff, but sometimes i'd like to surf a wave slightly more challenging that 7 mile...
For those in Nowra / wollongong area - Club Mal-Nutrition is a great option. Got home not long ago, totally took the wrong board for the reasonably soft conditions but who cares, had fun, met some nice people = Job Done.
