I haven't but judging by the tide going through happy valley. The tide would be the major factor in you having a good or bad time.
I was there a few years back with my kids for a Nipper carnival , it was a good 2 to 3 foot pretty clean and very entertaining watching the kids in it . From memory around March SW wind. These guys seem to be having fun with it . It will be pretty hit and miss , better to talk to fishos for what swell direction. Any big SE blow should produce some wind swell . Better off jumping in a boat and heading to Yellow Patch.
