Important information for Competitors:
The first Surf of the SPSC Season is tomorrow and we have some important information for you.
#1 ARRIVE EARLY!
PLEASE arrive by 7am. We need to brief everyone, announce the heat draws, and explain how judging works. We have never seen these number before so have a lot to cover and it is important we get the first heat on the water at 7:45 or maybe even sooner, so please, please please, get there by 7am. This means everyone ;)
#2 PARKING
There are 2 other events at Palm Beach tomorrow so parking is going to be tight. (Another reason to arrive early!). The car park at the southern end, near the surf club, may be blocked, so the best bet is to turn left at the first entrance near the golf course and park at the very northern end of the Palm Beach car park.
#3 HAVE FUN
Everyone prepare to share the fun vibe. The 10 foot comp event is not meant to be too competitive. The aim is for everyone to enjoy, relax and enjoy being part of SPSC.
#4 FOOD AND WATER - Bring your own refillable water bottle please :)
The catering team has prepared lots of yummy food and snacks for the morning. This will be available from shortly after 7am. We are trying to avoid single use plastic this year so please bring your own refillable water bottles and we will provide water for you to refill.
#5 BIG NUMBERS
We currently have 56 participants registered! Juniors and females are welcome to still register, but we did have to close the adult male entries. We have created a wait list so go ahead and sign up for the wait list if you would like to come and fill spots in case we have anyone that does not show up. spsc.tidyhq.com/public/schedule/events/21074-sup-10-open-event-1-09-09-2018-palm-beach
If you are a member of SPSC you are welcome to use the demo boards as well, outside of the comp area or after the comp. You are also invited to come along and watch all the action, cheer on fellow members and meet everyone and just have fun.
#6 DEMO BOARDS
If you are planning to use a demo board, please remember to bring your own leash and paddle.
#7 HOODIES
If you ordered a hoodie and have not picked it up yet, you can pick it up in the morning. It will be a perfect morning for the hoodie. Thanks everyone!
Let's have fun and make this a great start to the 2018-19 season.

Thanks to Justin Holland to coming out to help out the kids!

Such an excellent event, well done to the committee, sponsors, competitors and also big one to Justin Holland with his Froth Monsters program and Freddo's SUP Jnr. I am so proud of my Jake for getting out there and pushing it well outside of his comfort zone. And watching him grow as a surfer throughout the day. So stoked with his 2nd, he'll be so chuffed tonight when I tell him. Also a big congrats to Fletch, you were killing it out there and Archie it would have been an extremely tough score board.
Girls you were amazing, I can remember screaming and cheering watching you girls taking drops and owning it out there. Very proud Mums and Dads after yesterday's efforts, well done!
Jake getting comfortable on the Froth Monster boards,

Young Fletch screaming along a ripper,

Well done to all, especially the groms,
Ride safe,
JB
Well done to the new committee on such a epic event.
Thanks Pete! Marty and Gareth really have some passion and it is showing!
Chappo Productions shared this amazing video of the event. If you haven't seen it, you should have a look. Its is a beautiful representation of the day.
The Sunova @ 3:00 looks so nice. Is it a new custom?
That's James Casey' actual mal. it's only like 24" wide. James is a bit of freak.
