Just to be clear, this is NOT a 12'6" only race. The 14' category is the championship category for Open Men, Over 40 and Over 50 but there will also be 12'6" and Unlimited non championship categories (no age division). For Women, 12'6" is the championship category for Open and Over 40, but there will also be 14' and Unlimited non championship categories .
Also, there is a Mens Over 50s (14') category in the Flat Water Series that can be entered, that is not on the poster, meaning that you can enter the Mens Over 50s and earn points to the Flat Water Series, although there may not be a prize on the day.
Make sure you come down and enter the first race of the season for the Victorian Flatwater series. The ZU also has plenty of demo boards available, if you don't have one and like to enter the social race please let us know.
Hope to c you there !

Please note you MUST pre-register online by 9pm Friday if you want your results to count in the Flat Water SUP Championship Series.
This is important. You MUST pre-register if you want to score points in the main race. (It is not necessary to pre-register for the social race, kids race or sprint race.)
If you turn up on the day hoping to register for the main race, you will be allowed to race but you won't be in the computer and your result won't count towards the championship.
You don't have to pay when you pre-register online, you can pay on Saturday morning. Don't worry if your plans change between now and Saturday, if you can't make it, we don't charge you entry fee. We simply need you to pre-register to get your details in the computer timing system.
So once again, you MUST pre-register if you want to score points towards the series championship:http://www.supvic.com/2012-spirit-of-the-zu-race-registration/
Saturday is approaching quickly, so far we have about 35 competitors pre-registered for the main race and new entries are still coming in. If you haven't signed up yet you still have time to do so until Friday. http://www.supvic.com/2012-spirit-of-the-zu-race-registration/
Once again it's not necessary to pre-register for the social race, kids race or sprint race. Please be aware there are now a limited amount (15) of demo boards available that can be used for any of the races.
Apart from the Winner's Trophies there are three $500 ZU gift vouchers to be won by lucky draw kindly donated by Naish, Starboard and F-one. Plus some aditional smaller prizes. So you don't have to come first or enter the main race to walk away with some new SUP gear !
Please sign up now to streamline registration Saturday morning !
Registrations have now closed. We have 45 official 'point-scoring' paddlers registered for the morning.
Anyone else wanting to take part can turn up, but your time and place in the elite race will not be recorded or counted. Sorry but 'dems da rulez!
Remember, social paddle, sprint race and kids race do not need to register, so just turn up and have fun. See you at the Zu.
