This longweekend was the 26th RPM. Its a great event run by the Marathon canoe club of South Australia. We had fantastic winter sunshine, with some light head winds. The last day was a beautiful 20 degrees with a tail wind. There are a few courses that can be completed. The M200, M100, M50, and the mini marathon. These distances are completed over 3 days. There are different start points along the river murray depending on which event you have entered.
This year I decided to participate in the M50 on my 14' Yolo board. It was an amazing experience! There was plenty of amazing scenery along the riverbanks and cliffs. I was happy to finish the event , and become the first woman to finish the m50 on a SUP.
The Pink Dragon boat is from Balleratt. They are mostly women who have survived breast cancer. There are a couple of Vikings who decided to help out.
Thanks to the marathon Canoe Club and all the other volunters who helped to make this event happen. It was a great weekend. PB
