Here it is, the big one after months of planning!
Opinions were sought and listened to as to where and when the best downwind conditions were in the State. It was a no brainer in the end, the Peel Coastline has it all - great waves, consistent wind and great direction.
We have a contingency for different wind directions so a race will happen on the day. Great cash prizes on offer and free goody bags from 32GI for all competitors.
Minimal Safety gear - PFD 1,2 or 3 (Inflatable type 1 is recommended), leg rope and 1 orange smoke flare.
Entries close on Monday the 3rd of December. If you are a non-SUPWA member you still pay $50 through the the SWA and pay the extra $15 on the day (sorry the site can't accommodate different pay scales)![]()

just no prizes is that right ,
Registration and Briefing at Singleton Beach from 1130-1200
Start at Dawesville Cut at 1300.
We'll have a few trailers to take boards up to the start so everyone doesn't have to drive up from Singleton.
Presentations will be held at Singleton Beach. Race is 20km
A few of us did a practice run of the course today and it was nothing but smiles all around at then. It was nice to paddle past the estuary for once and not have to turn up it.
Best bit of coast for a land based start to do a DW run, it just got better and better the further you went, the wind direction perfect. Cant wait for the race.
I'm easily bought with coffee and a nut bar hey Wes ![]()
We might even get you two nut bars this week you did such a good job. ![]()
The Redink Homes King of the Cut is shaping up to be the biggest SUP downwind event of the year.
$2000 of prize money up for grabs, making it the biggest prize pool for any SUP race in WA. Anyone can win the King of the Cut - first male and first female across the line will be crowned King and Queen of the Cut (no matter what board - from a mass start).
The custom designed State SUPWA Medals for divisions.
Entries will now close on Wednesday the 5th of December at midnight.
You can still enter up until Friday 7th at midday (with a late entry fee of $80)
Get in early!![]()

We (and I mean me) will be checking ID at the start line to make sure everyone is in their correct age division and that includes everyone being over 40 and 50 in the overs and not in the opens to give us whipper snappers a chance in the opens, isn't that right Marcus, Ben and Jackson????
The only thing I am worried about for the O40's and O50's is that a race 20km long they might forget what they are doing and where they are going!
