I'm looking to get some paddle coaching to improve my technique and wanted to hear if anyone in Perth could recommend a local instructor.
I have always surfed but have been SUPing for just over a year and doing a mix of surf, flatwater and downwind paddling.
My stroke seems ok however I have never really paddled with a group so it could be rubbish and I now want to do some longer solo paddles for fitness and would like have a efficient stroke.
Cheers

I'd recommend contacting Cristiana at Stand Up Paddle Perth.

Don't be fooled by the fact that a lot of the reviews are from beginners and people doing SUP yoga classes.
Cristiana is a very accomplished paddler with years of race experience including State and National titles and can help all levels of paddlers with paddle technique, downwinding tips etc.

All of the above are good suggestions. Also, why don't you join a pod? Nothing improves technique like being around people with better technique regularly.

I did not realise Cristiana's experience but will contact her to organise a lesson.

Sounds good paddling with others.
Do you have any contact details for pods around the Nedlands/Fremantle area?

There's 2 pods at Freo.
Freo pod, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 5.30am on the water at Swan yacht club.
Suss Group, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5.00 am at Zephyrs Cafe

If you're starting out I'd recommend the Suss group. Freo pod more hardcore.
Also see supwa facebook page for updates to times.
