This is a review on the All Rounder Paddler here. www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/Review/PSH-10-2-x-33-Hull-Paddler/
The Hull Rippers aren't in Australia yet.
Off topic a bit , but i had a surf on a naish 9,3 the other day and compared to my PSH 9, 2 it was way lighter , not that it surfed any better. Does the Bamboo make them a lot heavier?Or is it just the constuction , my psh looks the same as the day i purchased it and that was a while ago now.
Not sure if its the grip alley , although it could be a factor afterall water is heavy.I think its just the construction , the naish is quite a bit younger than my psh but looked quite a bit older , rails chips ect.Sometimes i would like a light board , but heavier boards a sweet when conditions arent so great.
Funny that, by no means was the 8'10" Naish a light board, more so on the heavier side.
But the deck grip did seem to stay pretty dry which might mean something in the water
as far as weight goes.
It would have been good if the deck grip was actually grippy! The most slippery grip ever.
I have definitely notice some boards feeling heavier when coming out of the water so I'm
assuming some grips must hold a considerable amount of water.
Guys, not sure about the weights on the Naish's but I do recall their weights did vary a bit when they switched factories. I do know that the Naish generally have a lower profile rail through the middle and carry less volume overall for the same dimensions. I have also heard that the spongier grip is heavier.
It is always worth putting your board in moderate sun, warming it up and checking there are no leaks anywhere from impacts. Hope this helps.
