This Thursday the 29th of November is round 2 of the Outlaw Paddling twilight event,
http://www.outlawpaddling.com/events/outlaw-crit-series-201213/race-no2---november-29th,-2012.aspx
Dale and Alain from DC Paddleboards are continuing on from the Merimbula Classic the weekend before to join us on the night with a fine selection of Aussie designed and made custom sup's to show including a 16ft downwind board used in the 32mile Molokai channel crossing,14ft flatwater and downwind boards, 12'6 BOP board, 11ft ladies sup and a few more all well worth checking out.
The Outlaw Paddling crew put on an excellent round 1 on the last Thursday night of October even if it was a cold night with a 20knot south west wind (see pic below of us after our paddle about to warm up and hit the BBQ put on after presentations),
but with a forecast of 36 degrees for this Thursday this will be a great way to finish a stinking hot Melbourne night on or in the water at Sandridge beach Port Melbourne, also a great opportunity to check out the Great Melbourne Paddle race course if you like for Sundays event.

That will be great Camo, couldn't be more of a contrast in weather conditions, in the photo of the last event, we were suffering from hypothermia but this thursday, phew 36 degrees....

Sorry, you must be talking some foreign language.

Chasing Cam for half an hour in extreme heat with no chance of beating him - that's heaven.

An interesting round 2 of the Outlaw Paddling Sandridge Beach 4km time trials, with the course set for light northerly winds it all changed just as we took off from the start line with a 15 to 20knot southerly blowing through leaving us with a challenging upwind leg before the first turning marker, at least it gave Dale and Alain down from Queensland a taste of Melbourne's unpredictable weather. With Dale's trailer there full of DC Paddleboards, and series sponsor Nick from Sunny King Paddleboards also in attendance with his fleet of demo boards the competitors on the night had the chance to try some different boards and even use one for the race, here's the results for a slow 4.5km slog fest and a pic with some of the crew after we had recovered post race on the beach.
