Broke my right ring finger in five places Monday week ago. Dropped a dumbbell on it :-/ Out of the water and gym for 6+ weeks apparently. Week one and I'm losing my mind already.

Just thought I'd share.

Dam, sorry for your situation but I am sure you will be back on the water before too long.

Mean while just give us all some insight to your experiences which I am sure will be interesting and beneficial but just be careful not to out do DJ.

I empathise with your situation Zeusman.

I broke two fingers on my right hand in January.

On the plus side you will probably be able to paddle earlier than the six week period recommended y your doctor. I found I could do 30 minute flat water sessions after about four weeks of rest.

I hope you are able to hit the water soon! I watched heaps of surf movies....that helped a little.
