Hi Mick

I got the 8'6" about 6 months ago and it had just come in so they might still be in Aus. I had the 9'2" all arounder and liked that one too. The 8'6" is great for paddling onto waves turns well, but at almost 30" wide with lots of V and 18.5" tail it gets a bit skatey when it is over 4ft with some grunt. Still my favourite board because of the stability, tight turns and tip time.

Sounds like a beauty to me Bill. Thanks for the advice. Mostly I would be riding it on the smaller days and go out on the mal when it's bigger.

Hi Dowls I'm riding the PSH wide 8'6" allrounder and it is an outstanding noserider. IMHO any of the PSH allrounder or wide allrounders are fine for tip time.

Bill

Actually Bill, just had a look on the psh website and the smallest wide allrounder was 9' .... is the 8'6 and older model? I was looking at getting the 9' but am interested in other options.

2012 there is a vacuum bag 8 9AA

Boardworks smallest is 9 2

Hmm, 8'6, 8'9", 9' ... all look like good all round boards. I might wait for the new 8'9 to come out over here. Sort of a good in between compromise. It seems like it's a new construction type too and I prefer the look of the square tail. Looks like the McTavish lives to fight on for another few months. Thanks for your advice guys.
