New to the sport. What's the best starter board?

Hi there, just about to get into the sport and would love some info pls! Can surf, 90kg fit, good balance! Like to keep fit but also want to crack some waves. Live on the Goldie, so looking for good second to start. Any feedback appreciated. Klang!

Welcome Klang.. Check with your local shops and see what they recommend.. They might even have some demo board to sell cheap.. Give Paul or Ang a call at Roar Industries.. I think they have a shop on the Goldie.

You could go for something like the 10' Naish Mana or the 10' Starboard Whopper.. even something like the 11' NSP.. I'm not sure what other brands that you have up your way but others here might know.

Thanks David. Just got back from Indo and saw quite a fec sup in the water. They were having a ball!

you are lucky being on the gold coast as there is heaps of great boards to choose from.
