Here is a couple of pics of Josh and Luke demoing the new SIC 12.6 race boards.

The Verdict was that they are pretty SICK!!!

We tried out the 12'6" performance race board along with the wider version and there arent too many negative things that I can say about these boards. The boards are both really stable! They have a sunken deck making them super comfotable and easy to stand on. Also the the deck contours on the SIC's allows the water to drain off the board really easily so the board dose not carry any excess weight. The other thing that we really enjoyed about these boards is the handle that they come with. It makes the board really easy to carry and lets you sit the board on your hip. This style of handle is ideal for BOP style races where you are going through transition phases and need quick and easy handling of the board. This new style handle also makes it very easy to lift on and off the car.

The construction of the boards is super tough. It comes in 2 types of constructions. The stock construction is what they call the AST version, it also comes in a little bit of a lighter version, this one is the same however it has hand layed carbon layers and is about 1kg lighter, giving you that extra edge. The boards feel bomb proof and are not soft when you press hard with your thumb in places.

The outline of these boards is super effective. They have a smooth contoured edge which transferes into a hard rail towards the bottom of the board aiding in the release of water. This design gives you the best of both worlds. It means that you can ride these in the surf or choppy water without the rails hanging up and throwing you off, however they do still release water.

SIC boards are renounded for their speed on the water and have certainly lived up to their expectations. These boards are amazing all-round boards and a fantastic product.

We will have some demo SIC's at the Lake Kawana time trail demo day.

Great looking boards. Have you got the bullets as well?

I think they won't be there until the Demo day. If they are I would like to have a crack on the time trial on one. Look good.

Looking forward to the demo day to test them all out. Taking my financier out to dinner tonight and often in the lead up in hope she will let me get a new one soon
Might even do the house work for her in the lead up to the day.
