hi all

I have just score a half broken and completely surface cracked and damaged old Redback X-Trainer board and would like to completely repair it into a useable SUP , I don't care if Softboard after or anything as will be using on flat water for a bit of fun , so as long as waterproof and floats will be good .
however saying that I like the DIY as much as the using it so happy to spend time repairing it .

basically I see I need to glue the two halves together ( skin only broken on bottom) then completely re-Skin or regulars the whole board , and add a vent as missing (has 3 fins and handle already) .
i guess I need to completely sand the whole skin back and reglass and Epoxy ..

Can an anyone give advice as not much info about repairing Softboards -
How much should sand back - or better to remove all skin and redo
What thickness glass matt or what material
do I need to reinforce board with internal stringers Or something
do I use epoxy or polyester resin
do I need a finish coat

I have read a lot already but unsure with this board .
Any help appriciated
thanks in advance
