Hey guys,
I recently purchased this beautiful board.have had it for a few months...I have been so careful with it...most of the time it stays on its own bed in the spare room...however despite my careful treatment of the board there are already tiny scratches and paint chipping off on some of the graphics....I also had an accident the other day and dropped it...now there are some scratches on the underside and the rail ...enough to expose the white under the yellow paint...is this something I should repair or are scratches like that normal? How do I know if there's water getting in( there are no bubbles coming out..any advice would be appreciated thanks in advance

It's pretty normal.. Unfortunatly..

My friends with Starboards had an even bigger problem with this sort of thing.. and as careful as you can be it will happen.

The best way to check if some kind of repair is nesessary is to show it to the shop where you bought it from or some else that might know.

I'm super-duper careful with my boards but over time things happen.. If you're concerned about the area where you dropped it I would recomend buying a roll of ding tape and put a patch over it to help seal it so at least you can keep paddling it..

I'm no expert ...but it doesn't look very deep...at the moment I live on an island and my local sup dealer is two hours away.Ive kept paddling it so far ..my old board ( a crappy ride the tide) actually had little bubbles coming out when the board was wet ...

have you taped your paddle ? That's where most cuts or scratches come from ..

No I haven't but have put in the rail saver pro...apart from that time I dropped it I've been so precious with it but they are big and awkward ....it's nice to see someone else who rides a Glide!! Where do you paddle it mainly? I live on dunk island at the moment and absolutely love the board compared to my first cheap board ...love the way it cuts through the water...ah well I guess it can't stay new forever
