If you ever get up to Cairns theres some great downwind runs between the northern beaches of Cairns and Port Douglas.
I have done a few now on an OC1 after running a few clinics in the region but am wondering if there are many SUP paddlers in the region???
I know there are a few people around the Yorkeys Knob area.
And, yes, the number of paddlers is growing exponentially weekly by the looks of it. It is such a great sport for us wave-deprived surfing stock living within the protected waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
You know i think you might be right, been up there a few time and it has very consistent trade winds,in fact it rarely stops blowing, pretty rare to get a still day up there. Good luck with it..
