This years M2O race was going to encounter one of the biggest south swells to hit Oahu in 15 years it was like 8 -10ft all the North Shore surfers were loving life as all the South Shore reefs was firing, even the Blinker Buoy at Maunalua Bay was being submerged by the large swell check out the great footage on Ed Wheelers Facebook page, Buoy at Maunalua Bay.
It was carnage but very entertaining to watch the M2O competitors going in and out through the shore break unloading and loading there support boat on the Saturday afternoon prior to race day.
