twelve months ago we did the trek to La Torche….Paris airport ,van, wrong side of the road, wrong side of the wheel.i asked a gentelman which way to the ocean,he pointed i drove that way..we saw France in in a roundabout way..driving down the coastal road to the Surf is flat, green and not to many houses. We stayed in a neat heated pine chalet quiet close to the beach.on a good day the wave is incredible ,sweeping into a right three to four stage bowls setup ,or a long tearaway left, the right is created by the rip flushing the atlantic out..tides are huge and wind is the factor..this year looks awesome.deep swell lines, winds look great.crowds look down..The crew from watermens league are pros and the local backup crew are the kindest fold you will meet, they want you to enjoy there turf…anyone that wants to try there luck on the world stage, this contest is a beauty..mens ,womans ,kids .all can compete against there peers ..so..you got twelve months to save, train, team your gang together..super good fun and the food!!..theres more spots too.
