Hey guys,

I was lucky enough to spend a couple weeks at home at the start of March testing out some new boards and doing the festival. Stoked to get some really fun waves and really loving the new boards.

Big thanks to Deems for making the trip up and putting together another sick edit. Hope you guys like it!

It's amazing what they can do with CGI!!. Absolutely amazing. I counted 3 airs. Yes it's amazing. Is Keahi real or unreal?? I think I may have just watched the future of SUP surfing.

+1. You'll have to change your surname to Slater to be one of the annointed sports gods though. Kelly Slater- Surfing god, Billy Slater- Rugby League god, Keahi Slater-SUP god????. It'd be holy trinity!!!!. Your old man might be pi--ed off though!!

Some sportsmen create so much time for themselves that they make their chosen sport look simple, guys like Roger Federer or even Mark Waugh and Ben Cousins at their peaks. That's how I feel watching that vid, looks so easy yet the skill level is beyond most, the best SUP vid I've seen. Mate get Polakow to teach you to windsurf, I can't imagine what you could do.

I just got a JP PRO 8 x27 which I think is a similar board to what he rides (but the one in the clip looks maybe even smaller?)

And nup, has not helped me surf anything like that.

Being at least 30 years older and probably never having even 10% of the talent is the main factor.

But have to admit, sneaking off to a quiet beach break on my own, enjoying the performance of the little board with such a sweet rocker helps me pretend and be a legend in my own mind occasionally and have so much fun.

I don't care if I fall off from time to time as I am paddling around and look a goose. The board really is fun when you get it on a good wave.

nice vid, luv the barrell footage , dislike the flicky/slidey stuff off the top.
would luv to see you and your crew hitting some juice, and show the top end performance levels of this sport.

Glad everyone is stoked on the vid. Thanks for all the support guys.

Really liking the new board. This is actually a 7'4 proto and really happy with how this one works. Feels amazing.

Very sick Deems & Keahi Keahi & Geoff have both been playing around on a the new 7-4 & 7-6 customs. There is a new 8-2 x 28.5 production board coming out in the next few months based on these new custom designs For the record Geoff is 6-1 x 85kg's.

Yes very nice mate, great footage. Also got some shots of Keahi (and his old man) tandem surfing with their 4 legged mates during the Noosa Festival here www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=119520858234343&set=a.119520741567688.1073741829.100341000152329&type=1&theater

Keahi and Harrison Roach were definitely the standouts during the Noosa Festival of Surfing. Both these boys can surf in anything and on anything with style. Well done

Good comment by Tractor,Watching current judging criteria from ASP,2 big rail turns at Snapper by Mick Fanning gets an 8...Flicking and sliding down the line gets the other guy 5

PTSUP there are few things wrong with your comparison.
For one he his not short-boarding on the world tour,he is free surfing.
Nor is he surfing snapper rocks,it's Noosa.
If you have to pick at his style try to remember if you did any of the things he does your knees would be trembling with so much excitement you would have to paddle out on them.Or do you already?
The only thing you got right was using Mick as an comparison as he is also a world champ in a sport that is not standup.

Phew....... I smell Trolls??. Nitehawk are you saying Mick Fanning didn't deserve that higher score for doing full rail power turns compared to skateboard moves? Are you seriously saying that Keahi hasn't the potential to be a world champion or do you just have a hidden agenda because PT prefers downwinders and flatwater supping to surfing. Poor form whichever gutless wonder you are hiding behind a fake avatar. Keahi's board is only about eighteen inches longer than most of the shortboards that are being ridden at the moment and by the way PT does more work for SUPPING in a week than most do in a lifetime and is entitled to his valid opinion!!! I didn't detect any maliciousness in PT's comment and he was talking about judging criteria. I have no doubt you are a world champion at dropping in to forums and probably waves and generally being a supercilious, flatulent bitter old man. I should know because I am one.
